VISITA AL AEROPUERTO DE "SAN JAVIER" ORGANIZADA POR EL DPTO. DE INGLÉS

A visit to San Javier Airport

 

On Tuesday 17th March, two groups of students of our school, ESO1A and 3 Diversificación, went to San Javier Airport to have a different English lesson. We were selected among a big list of can-didates to carry out a visit in english around the airport. They were shown the different parts of an airport as well as the procedures when traveling by plane.They were accompanied by three tea-chers, Miguel Angel García , Joaquin Ramon and Begoña Martínez.The lesson was prepared pre-viously at school, and students had the chance to interview real passengers arriving on a flight from Bristol. They really enjoyed the experience and became aware of the importance of learning English to communicate with people from other countries. Here are some of our students' opinions:

Lidia Muñoz 1A: "We got on the fire engine and saw lots of planes. People were very friendly. I liked the falcons"

El pasado martes 17 de marzo , dos grupos de alumnos de nuestro centro, 1 eso A y 3º de Diver-sificación,realizaron una visita al aeropuerto de San Javier e hicieron una clase de ingles un tanto diferente. Esta actividad,organizada por la Escuela de Idiomas de San Javier a través de la Con-sejería de Educación, contaba con un gran número de candidatos de entre los cuales fuimos se-leccionados. Acompañados por tres profesores, Miguel Angel García, Joaquín Ramón y Begoña Martínez, los alumnos fueron guiados en Ingles por todas las secciones de un aeropuerto, entre-vistaron a un grupo de viajeros ingleses procedentes de Bristol, asistieron a una charla sobre la importante labor que realizan los halcones en la seguridad aérea e incluso se vistieron con el traje de bombero de la brigada de emergencias del aeropuerto. La organización fue estupenda y desde aquí , agradecer al Director del Aeropuerto, a la directora de la EOI de San Javier, y a todo su grupo de voluntarios que hicieron de esta visita un experiencia inolvidable para nuestro chicos.
